In the Cross Alone I Glory.

Never will I seek the glory
That was never meant for me.
Always heavenward reflecting..
All to Jesus to receive,
All to Jesus to receive!

In the cross alone I glory;
Nothing of my own to give.
Only that which Christ has offered
For my soul that I may live,
For my soul that I may live...

I'm gonna quote a sister on this one, but forreal, "they don't call it 'the Good News' for no reason."

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Note to self.

Starfield - I Will Go.

Let me not be blind with privilege
Give me eyes to see the pain
Let the blessing You've poured out on me
Not be spent on me in vain

Let this life be used for change

I will go, I will go,
I will go Lord, send me
To the world, to the lost
To the poor and hungry
Take everything I am,
I'm clay within Your hands

Oh, that this may be the prayer of my heart on the daily.

New year, new goals. May I persevere even more, submit even more, suffer even more for the sake of Christ... because, regardless of my own changes, my God is unchanging & His standards stay the same. Can't wait for what's in store this year. I just pray that I remember that God is sovereign & perhaps more importantly, that He is God.

Oh, Jonathan Edwards.

25. Resolved, to examine carefully, and constantly, what that one thing in me is which causes me in the least to doubt of the love of God; and to direct all my forces against it.

Legit.

I just finished reading the only devotional with a heading that almost made me tear up before the actual devotional. I guess it fit well with my present struggles. It hit home. Praise the Lord.

"How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word.
With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments!
"

--Psalm 119:9-10.
