11.13.2012

Long weekend, long post.

Another late night! I don't know why I like blogging when there is just SO MUCH to do, but alas, here I am.

I looked back at my posts & realized that I barely give updates on my life. It's usually just verses, hymn lyrics, quotes, & pictures for me. The last, real update was back in August! Eeps. Hello, November.

The Lord has been so gracious in dealing with my sinfulness. Daily, I am reminded of His character & the assurance I have through His Son & it blows my mind. I cannot imagine living without the peace of God in my heart. There are many days that display my lack of trust & faith in His sovereignty & it is all so foolish! He has always been faithful & He has always taken care of me!

School, on the other hand, has been a monster! Haha, just kidding (sort of). I don't know exactly when I started to fall behind but now I am & it's unfortunate. There is so much I want to learn & although there will probably be more time to read after I graduate, I probably... won't. It's the truth! Honestly, I can attribute this to my lack of discipline (uh hello, blogging right now). I only have 4 more weeks-- including this one-- until finals week, followed by winter break, followed by... my last semester of undergrad! Yay! I'm all registered for classes & stoked to finish it off with 15 more units. No such thing as slacking off for [super] senior year.

My internship is wonderful! As the weeks go by, my responsibilities increase, but it's been a blast. I'm learning a lot from everyone at my site, including the kids. For example, I am sooo not as patient as I thought I was, haha. Students with special needs are really somethin'! They're the sweetest though & have so much potential to learn-- they just need a little extra time & encouragement. It's a huge blessing to be at a site where I can talk about God & the Gospel all I want & people would just talk about God and the Gospel with me. I'm even grateful that this has benefited girls at my church! Hello networking! I'm also blessed with a very temporary (& when I say very temporary, I mean, until the end of this month) tutoring job to work with one of my favorite students. I've grown attached to a good amount of kids but I'm excited to take on a new internship next semester & experience new things.

Ministry has been a joy (as always) & I'm so glad the Lord has given me this opportunity to serve with the CPYF. There has been so much growth & so many more hardships, but the mindset has changed from the past years to the fact that God is sanctifying His children & He will be glorified. I don't know where He will lead them in the upcoming year (congrats new officers!), but I know that He is in control of all things.

Speaking of being in control of all things, my health is just dandy. There were a few issues with my heart-- palpitations & such-- but after some emergency check-ups, blood work, & a Holter monitor, it looks like I'm totally normal (for the most part). Praying that everything will be fine in the long run & that I will give a good testimony to God's goodness in my life. This totally reminds me that I need to make another doctor's appointment soon.

One last thing before I head to bed-- we're engaged! Say whaaa?! :) How much more grace can the Lord pour out on my life?!? (A lot, apparently.) Micah & I are so excited! I know he's not here writing this with me, but I know he's excited too. ...I think. (Joke!) It's so strange going through my Google Reader & taking a little extra time looking through the wedding blogs. Before Micah & I got together, I would look through the posts for party ideas, but now I'm actually looking for wedding ideas & it's WEEEEIRRRD. I love it! My wonderful sister-friends have already sent over some wedding magazines, sheesh! I'm actually kind of grateful that we don't have a budget yet, 'cause that means wedding planning doesn't really start, which meaaans we can just enjoy being engaged. Every time I see something I actually like, I have to keep reminding myself that this whole thing isn't just about the wedding. It's about the Gospel! & I cannot wait to display the Gospel through marriage! Christ loving the church! Woohoo! Praise God!

Thanks for the picture, Sam! I know you're reading this!
But anyhoos, no intense planning yet. For now I'm just happy that I'm being introduced as Micah's fiancée. :)

& with that,
GOOD NIGHT.

Fellowship.

"Some Christians try to go to heaven alone, in solitude. But believers are not compared to bears or lions or other animals that wander alone. Those who belong to Christ are sheep in this respect, that they love to get together. Sheep go in flocks, and so do God’s people."
--Charles Spurgeon.

10.17.2012

Hooray!

We turned 1.5 [years old] on Monday! :)
Praise the Lord!

Aren't our pictures beautiful?!
Ha..... I don't know why we took these.
(Sorry, Micah.)

9.26.2012

Psalm 73:26

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Application.

What an interesting month & a half. God is sovereign!

9.22.2012

Turn your eyes upon Jesus.

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us, sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!
His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

Come back, summer.

Sometimes I wish I were riding on a moped around Paris, admiring the townsfolk & flowers, but alas, this picture is from Universal Studios. Oh well.

It still hasn't hit me that my summer is coming to an end & it will be my last time anticipating the upcoming school year as an undergrad. These are sweet times, knowing that the things of the future are coming into fruition right before your very eyes. Scary, but exciting. I'm in this stage of ambiguity where I have absolutely no idea what I'll be doing once I graduate. Really. No idea. I'm still on the hunt for an internship & applied to a few more yesterday. I may or may not be working, I may or may not be going for a Master's, I may or may not... be preparing for other new chapters in my life... Haha, but I really don't know! This is a pretty interesting (for lack of a better word) season of really trusting in the Lord. After all, His plan reigns, not mine, right? "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps" (Proverbs 16:9).

It also helps that I'm still in the recovery stage. To recap, I had appendicitis exactly 2 weeks ago so I've been slowly, but surely, healing & admiring my stitches. I'm limited in activities but also limited in budget! Even cleaning my room is somewhat forbidden because I'd get in trouble for lifting objects (even though I've told people that 10 lbs is my limit-- but since I'm at my 2-week mark, I can now advance to 20 lbs!). Regardless, I have yet to do some school supply shopping & grab a few groceries. Sometimes I feel lazy. Sometimes I AM lazy. I do a lot of reading & eating & movie watching & talking with people. I wanna be active! I hope this desire doesn't fade away once my 4-week mark comes; I'm told that I should be at 100% by then.

Anyhoos, I just found ants in my room. Well... almost. They're climbing from my backyard to my windowsill. Those crazy ants. My baby succulent is sitting there trying to get as much sun as possible & I guess ants are attracted to that?? I don't know, but I just sprayed them all with this bug spray of death & placed my succulent plant outside where it should be, I suppose.

Ha, that's one way to end a blog post!

7.27.2012

Home edition.

It's easy for me to covet.

There, I said it.

I was trying to think of a way to build it up somehow, but it just seemed better to say it upfront. I've mentioned this before, I know. Over & over & over again! :( I was window shopping yesterday (a coveting trap!!) & found myself looking at miscellaneous home items: furniture, dishes, mirrors, cookware, mugs, chairs. Goodness, I don't even live in my own place! I like looking at these things more than clothes (although I do love a good thrift find). Anyways, the interior design blogs got me again. I've already stopped following a few blogs, but the remaining posts still stack up & all sorts of photos are saved to pretty much swoon over in the near future.

I found out that I'm a big fan of natural light. Rooms that bring in a lot of natural light are almost automatic winners for me. I like neutrals & soft tones but I also like pops of color & personality. Oh, & fresh flowers/plants-- except I'm not very good at keeping them alive. I'm partial to patios. A cozy home feel definitely beats a fancy art studio feel. I like house parties... The ones that involves fellowship over good food & good conversations.

Sigh.

Aside from this stuff, I do covet other things. No bueno. Please pray for me!

I must be content with what I have... especially since I have salvation through Jesus Christ, of course! I should be joyfully proclaiming, "Hallelujah, all I have is Christ" because this world will disappoint & will never completely satisfy. Praise the Lord for His love & grace!

Last thing... Wouldn't it be so lovely to dine here?! AHH okay okay. Must stop. But seriously.

July.

Unfortunately, I don't know the original source to this image!
But I still think it's worth the laughs :)
P.S. Man, ice cream sounds good.

Hi friends!

It's been a month since the last post. I was doing well with 3 posts within a week, but we all knew that it wasn't going to last. Alas-- time to move on!

The past month has been full of wonderful events & experiences, which includes Resolved Conference weekend, a beach trip, outings with the parentals, a wedding, internship hunting (a humbling experience, to say the least), lots of fireworks, playing barber, random July rain, Vegas family vacation with another family, Jesus Only conference, Spiderman & Batman, ministry shenanigans, & not nearly enough Boggle games (man, that game is fun).

Before summer ends, I wanna do some reading at the beach again. That was so relaxing! Why is the beach so far? (Okay, Seal Beach is 20 minutes away from me-- but still.) I have settled for a neighborhood park. Mmm.

Yeah, nothing too important over here.
That image above was pretty much the only thing I wanted to share. Heh.

#RE12

Taken @ my 1st Resolved Conference in 2010!

Resolution #28: Resolved, to study the Scriptures so steadily, constantly and frequently, as that I may find, and plainly perceive myself to grow in the knowledge of the same. (Jonathan Edwards)

Please pray for the last Resolved Conference this weekend, as well as for the speakers & attendees! May it be glorifying to God!

No live streaming this year, but there are same-day downloads (or so I hear).
Learn with us & be encouraged! :)

"...And a sun hat!"

"I decided I wanted A SUN HAT."

Reflecting on my day today, I remembered my conversation with the homie & realized that I probably sounded really ridiculous. It showed in the way she reacted (which was just pure laughter-- like, throwing your head back kind of laughter). Nonetheless, I was convinced that a sun hat would finish off my imagined outfit & quite frankly, it's an accessory I really don't need & will probably never buy. Doesn't it sound fun though? Especially for the upcoming summer days! AH. (P.S. Can I have my camera back? Please? At least take some good pictures while you have it!)

My goodness, it was warm today! I can't imagine how hot it will be in Palm Springs this upcoming weekend. One thing's for sure: it'll be worth it. RESOLVED. Is it okay to be this excited? What about THIS excited?

You get the gist. I'm pretty much

really, really excited.

The kind of excited that makes you dance around in your room to no music or even the kind that makes you smile in front of your laptop as you think about it. That kind of excited. Have you been that excited? Yeah? Then you just know.

There's nothing quite like sound preaching. Add on to that a room full of people who agree-- like, hundreds! Seriously!-- & will endure 100+ degree weather for 4 days for it. It's easy to want to stay there forever but man, it also pumps you up & makes you want everyone to hear about what you learned! Isn't that what we're supposed to be doing everyday anyway? Shouldn't we be so moved by the Gospel of Jesus Christ that it oozes out of us? Oh, the imagery... but I hope you get the idea. Sheesh, that hits me. My God truly is amazing. This song has been playing in my room & in my head lately. Actually, that whole album. Yeah.

Rock of Ages, when in want or rest
My desperate need for such a Savior I confess
Pull these idols out from my heart embrace
Rock of Ages, I need Your grace
Rock of Ages, broken, scorned for me
Who am I that You would die to make me free?
To give me glory, You took the death and pain
Rock of Ages, my Offering

This is already a long post, so I apologize. I also wanted to say that I found this recipe & I'm really curious to try these baked goods, although I know that the only thing I do in the kitchen is make breakfast & bake, so I probably want to steer away & work on other foods (especially since this treat is baked AND typically for breakfast). Not too long ago, I wanted to have a cooking party: fellowship time with my sisters while developing some cooking skills! Actually, I just wanna throw a party in general. Invites & pictures & pretty decorations & delicious food...... GAH.

On another note, Micah's spending time with his dad tonight & I think it's freakin' cute. I spent time with my dad today by watching the NBA Finals with him & falling asleep during the 4th quarter. Sorry, Papa! I cooked rice for the family afterwards though... Have I redeemed myself? Haha, happy father's day, folks. (Well, dads.) Good night!

6.15.2012

A month later.

I don't think I'll ever get up to speed on this thing. :( Recap!

  • 2 yard sales... Our cost went down from $100 to $25!! AHH
  • Annual Memorial Day BBQ with the fam. Love me some family time.
  • Disneyland for the last time before our passes expired.
  • My Ate Cathy's wedding.
  • Birthday shenanigans with everyone! Spent my week with some of my favey faves. Why does 22 sound so much older than 21? Sheesh...
  • Got baptized!! PRAISE THE LORD! Every time I think about it, I get so happy :)
  • Won the Special Event Preview Sweepstakes to see Cars Land & Buena Vista St before it was open to the public. Spent the morning at CA Adventure-- even after our passes expired! Super exclusive. Super cool.
On another note: Happy 1.16666667.
I should be reviewing for my Hermeneutics lesson with Micah later but I'm blogging instead...

I'm really enjoying the mornings recently, even though I spend most of them by myself in an empty house. My days seem more productive. So many mornings of my life have been wasted on just sleeping! I've never been good at "making the best use of [my] time" & so I guess this is a start, but sometimes my mornings aren't very productive asdjkfl;asdj. Gotta stay disciplined!

I also need to get back into the habit of WRITING. I suck at this! Time for bullet points :(
  • I'm constantly reminding myself to be more compassionate.
  • I'm still really independent. Get outta here, Kelly Clarkson.
  • Why am I still reading Joshua? Try to finish by next week. Disciplineeee.
  • I like cooking breakfast!
  • I register for Fall classes on July 16.
  • I bought a red orange dress for $6 & I kind of really love it. Mossimo brand too! Thrift shopping ftw.
  • RESOLVED IS NEXT WEEK!
  • & youth camp is happening in less than 2 months!

5.25.2012

It's that time of the month.

Time to blog, of course.

Here's a handful of what happened since my last post:

  • Studied.. a lot. & wrote papers. & took quizzes/exams/finals.
  • Had an eventful spring break! Went on food runs, got some sleep, & spent a day at TMS!
  • Participated in 2 out of the 3 LOTR marathons. Stoked for the last one.
  • Attended a wedding shower, baby shower, gender reveal party, going away party, multiple birthday parties, & you can't forget about Anabu fiesta.
  • Celebrated Easter. Christ is risen! Isn't that awesome?! Uh, YES.
  • Spent time with the parentals-- Boiling Crab, Guppy's, Star Wars marathons
  • & the brother bear-- car rides, break time between homework assignments, movies
  • Took the EWP & passed, praise the Lord!
  • Happy Anniversary! Pizza for lunch, hiked to the Griffith Observatory (not really, but really), had a shabu shabu dinner, & did some reminiscin'. God is incredible.
  • Got sick... then got attacked by allergies.
  • Saw Hunger Games. & saw Avengers.... twice... in a week.
  • Witnessed baptisms! Praise the Lord!
  • Witnessed graduations! Praise the Lord-- again!
  • Ministry, ministry, ministry. Ahhh too good.
  • Lalalaaahve fellowship.
  • Cleaned my room, washed my car, & oh yeah, I got a haircut.
Summer vacation is wonderful. I'm done with one year of CSUF, which means I have one more year to go! Exciting! It's all by God's grace (haha, Ica?) & I cannot thank Him enough.

I guess these past few weeks were also filled with its share of trials, & not just my own. I'm not perfect, but I worship the God who definitely is. Prayer has been so comforting & has given me peace when my heart was heavy with issues that really should not be issues in the first place. & of course, encouragement from brothers & sisters in Christ is always a blessing. During these times, I always get pumped up for Christ's return. Haha, so serious. Stoked to be in the presence of the Lord, worshiping with everyone in our new bodies without sin.. Ahhh can't wait! For now, we still gotta persevere & discipline ourselves in striving for holiness, looking to Christ as we live in this fallen world. Lord, sustain us...

I'm kind of anticipating the upcoming weeks. From the way things are going, it seems like this summer should be a memorable one.
You ready? Better be!

3.15.2012

Eleven.

The new Blogger format is so strange. I'm tempted to switch to the old template, but the design is way too clean to ignore. Guess I'll have to get used to it (just like how we all must eventually get used to the Facebook timeline. Eeps).

It's a cloudy morning & usually I would feel really lazy, but there is much to be done. Phone calls & emails & meetings & readings-- a whole 'notha level of busyness! I look at my list & it all looks overwhelming but everything seems worth it. Ministry is worth it, yaknow? (Or maybe you don't know.) I love seeing God work in different people in different ways & seeing people... see that. & then we spot sin & finally we get to the heart issue & everything makes sense & we get this game plan going on how to deal with that & it's like, BOOYA! GOTCHU, SIN. GET OUTTA HERE.

Is it just me? I don't know, it feels wonderful. Praise the Lord for that kinda revelation & discernment & desire to get rid of anything unholy, 'cause if it were up to us, we definitely would not choose that holiness road. Ministry is a lot of work but it's a lot of joy too! If you could, please pray for me! I know this isn't much compared to pastor's job, so definitely pray for your pastors/leaders & continue to encourage them. I'm sure they'll appreciate it :)

School is... fun. Yes, still. Every decision seems important (especially since I'm a year away from graduating!!). I'm constantly asking the Lord for guidance. Thinking about the next school year is exciting but I can't forget about this semester (I should be prepping my paper right now). Overall, school has been manageable. That's all I pretty much have to say about this area of my life...

Today is our 11th month mark. I can't help but be grateful to God for sustaining us 'cause it's definitely been eventful, to say the least! I'm praying that He'll continue to do so! I find it funny how we brought up our anniversary more frequently than our 11th month mark (you kind of have to pass that to get to 12, nahmean?) but I'm still unsure of how to celebrate. It falls during a busy time in the semester for the both of us, so who knows, maybe we'll be studying like we usually do these days, HAHA. Just kidding. (I think.)

Man, I wonder what He has in store for us in the future. Praise God for His sovereignty & faithfulness-- it's so comforting! & I'll leave on that note because it's time to get back on track & plus, I seem to be doing well with abrupt blog post conclusions. Have a wonderful March, friends. :)

2.19.2012

Square one.

Sooo while I was cleaning up this bottle (thanks for keeping your Izze bottle for me, brother bear), I wondered where my other glass bottles/containers were! HM, 'twas such a mystery! I went back into my room, searched my desk, & realized... they're not there. What?! I was so sure I took them out of my bag & placed them RIGHT there...

Wait.
Oh no.

My mother comes into my room once in a while to borrow this & that. I've got a feeling that she mistook them for recyclables & now they're gone forever. Well, forever from my sight as glass bottles/containers. They'll probably be turned into... I don't know.

I like using them for flowers or miscellaneous items or random projects.
Oh well. Time to start from the ground up once again!
Also gotta start stashing these, starting with this bottle.

SUCH A RANDOM POST, haha.
Hi everyone, hope you had a wonderful Lord's day.

P.S. Got any glass bottles/containers that you don't want? Send 'em my way :)

EDIT
And... It's a fact. Momma threw 'em away. x_x HAHAHAH OHSUMS.

2.17.2012

There are these nights

when I just wanna blog, but I'm never quite sure what to blog about. I mean, I usually have an idea but the words don't flow out very smoothly & that's a bit frustrating. It's cold, I'm sleepy, & I have a slight headache, but my hair is still wet.

There are a lot of "but"s in this post (ha-ha).
Reminds me of this!
"And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."
--Ephesians 2:1-10, nasb (emphasis mine).
Still blows my mind.

Bah, forget coherence, I'm just gonna type.

There's so much to do... Sometimes I wonder if I'm making any progress at all, but then I start praying & realizing just how much is being done under His sovereignty & within His timing. Not to excuse my responsibilities or anything, because that's definitely important... I don't know, I'm really praying that I can be more selfless. & also, it's easy for me to focus on my shortcomings because that's what I'm used to-- all sorts of standards. Praise the Lord for Christ because His standard is certainly one that I could never meet. So yeah, I guess it's a past struggle that I'm still working on to this day. I'm pleasing God, not man, yeah? Yeah.

Man, my hair is still wet & I'm TIIIIRED. I'll just read for the remainder of the night.

By the way, these songs have been on repeat in my head.
[1] [2] & as a Valentine's Day bonus, [3].
(Uh hello, free music from Priscilla Ahn? Yes please.)

Oh, & [4] because it's ridiculously catchy. & Disney.
Pretty much a makes-me-wanna-dance kind of tune.

2.01.2012

Think, think, think.

Things I tend to tell myself (as of late):

Dear... me,
  • Why do you read so many interior design blogs?
  • & wedding blogs?
  • & fashion blogs?
  • Do. Not. Covet.
  • Hey, save your money.
  • Why are you hungry all the time?
  • Where are you storing all of this food?
  • You are seriously hungry right now.
  • Your room is actually clean. Too bad you don't know where anything is anymore.
  • Kinda wanna study, but not really.
  • Wow. Hermeneutics. o_o
  • Don't forget to apply for graduation.
  • Can we all just do ministry for the rest of our lives?
  • You need to set aside more time for Bible reading.
  • Why do you always have a bag of chips in your room?
  • Think faster. You're losing opportunities.
  • Singing is really fun.
  • Too much complaining!!
  • Are you being selfish right now?
  • That was totally selfish.
  • Have patience, have patience... Why is that song so catchy & always so relevant?!
  • What's Micah doing right now?
  • Stop taking naps.
  • Use your time wisely.
  • Why is the Gospel so awesome?
  • You need to go to an ATM.
  • Your hair. Just... please, get a trim.
  • You should probably set up a dentist appointment soon.
  • & an eye appointment.
  • Where are those sunglasses?!
  • Prayer is wonderful.
  • DISCIPLINE.
  • Take more pictures.
  • Make more of an effort to see people.
  • Why are kids so easy to talk to?
  • Why are adults so... adult-ish?
  • Grow up.
  • You are definitely a work in progress.
  • Ask better questions.
  • Build some life skills! Like... cooking. Go grocery shopping tomorrow.
  • What are you actually trying to say right now?/What's your point?
  • Clean graphic design is sooo pretty. Target needs to stop producing hip notebooks.
  • Your brain is cluttered. Clean that up, homie.
Sincerely,
me.

P.S. Everything should be for God's glory. Your thoughts are usually made evident through action so you should probably reevaluate this list. Is Christ your greatest Treasure?

P.P.S. :)

1.28.2012

Just a reminder.

Have patience, have patience-- don't be in such a hurry.
When you get impatient, you only start to worry.
Remember, remember that God is patient too,
& think of all the times when others have to wait for you.
Haha, I only knew the first line of this tune so I looked it up... & that last line made me laugh. The Lord has totally been providing & graciously answering my prayers-- SUPER QUICKLY! I really should respond with more gratitude & praise instead of being anxious, impatient, & demanding. Sooo.. unattractive. I would naaaht want to be friends with myself. Well, okay that's really mean. Never mind.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." --Philippians 4:4-7, NASB. Always poppin' up!

UGH-- sin, get outta here! Gotta rejoice in the Lord. There are many things in this world that provide temporary joy :( Watch out! Hey, remember to rejoice in the Lord :) So wonderful to know that I can come to the Father for anything & everything. Lack of trust in God & His sovereignty is definitely not acceptable. (SIGH, but I know I've exemplified it in my anxiety, yuck!) It will all work out for my good & for His glory. Really. It will. Ohhhh Lord, be gracious, hahahahah. K bye!

1.22.2012

2012 spring semester!

Gah, I'm so excited.
Sometimes I don't even know why.
Other times, there are too many reasons.
This time is a mix of both.
I just know that my God is absolutely amazing,
& certain while everything else remains uncertain.
That knowledge must settle in my heart, not just in my mind.
In Christ alone, my hope is found,
He is my Light, my Strength, my Song;
This Cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought & storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in all,
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

1.18.2012

Happy friday! Oh, & new year.

(Sigh, I mean Thursday. Oh well, almost Friday!)
Hello 2012!
From me, RC, & ... my hippo pillow.
Hm, I don't have a name for it.

"It is better to read one verse worshipfully than multiple chapters dutifully."
--Rick Holland

Not sure if "worshipfully" is a word, but I can deal with that. Keeping this in mind as I read through my Bible. The year just started & it has already been so eventful! Very excited for what's to come, to just see God's sovereign plan unfold. By His grace, there will be a good amount of praying, trusting, reading, learning, encouraging, confronting, forgiving, disciplining, & a whole lot of loving! Love will definitely have to be present, especially during all the trials & testing... oh man, I have a feeling they're gonna come down hard..

EXCITING STUFF. :)
Everything for God's glory. Let's go!
