A couple things I'd like to share:

-Schizophrenia is SO COOL.
-I have probably experienced more secondhand smoke in my 4 days of college than in the 18 years I have been alive.
-I'm gonna start reposting these on Blogspot These posts are from my Xanga. That way all you Bloggers/Xangans who are still reading these but aren't posting on Xanga can refer to Blogger instead. Making your life easyaaaah.

Anyways.
Notes to self, so I don't forget: Amelie, comfort zones, college.

Let's work backwards.

COLLEGE.
I really like it! It's such a change and such an eye-opener. Yet at the same time, it's such a relief. I feel so much better in this atmosphere. Honestly, I doubt I'd go back to the time constraints of high school and required classes. I really feel like what I'm doing is worth my time & I don't feel as rushed. Uhm... yeah, that's it.

COMFORT ZONES.
Okay yeah, everyone says to get out your comfort zones because it's good for you, yadayada. Shoooot, even I say that-- & don't get me wrong, I still really believe we should do this. But I guess I've found it hard to get out of my comfort zone while everyone else is staying in theirs. I can make TONS of acquaintances but actual friends is kind of tough, especially without the help of any dorm sharing & whatnots. As I scanned around before my Sociology class, I noticed that generally people would stick to talking to people of their skin color. Koreans hanging out with Koreans, Whites hanging out with Whites, Filipinos with Filipinos, & so on & so forth. Tough. Coming from Whitney, I tried to open myself to non-Asian friends, but my first two friends turned out to be Indian & Korean. Go figure. My Psychology class has a bunch of fun people in it though, with a super fun professor; we do lots of group activities so I've been getting to know people there. I'd like to think my Psych prof gets it. She is so cool.

AMELIE.
I watched Amelie for the 2nd time last night & it was so much better than the first time. I think Amelie really opens your eyes to life in general. If you've never watched it, you should. Definitely. There are a couple scenes during which a narrator would tell of random facts of various characters in the film. Even Amelie gets the chance to tell us a bit about herself. (Kind of like the 20 Random Facts tag game! HAAAAH.) It was so interesting to learn such little facts about people. Unfortunately, our world today seems too rushed to be able to take the time to get to know someone so well anymore. Pretty sad. I think those small interests need to be noted more often, and appreciated more often as well. Basically, hidden talents, random hobbies, even pet peeves.

So. That's about it. I ended so abruptly but that's all I've got. I really thought I had something alot more profound but guess not.
